These pictures have nothing to do with our day, our battery in the camera died, so I added some pictures of Josiah's birthday party last Monday and one of Noah this summer. Today was a really great day, let me tell you why. We actually started off really well no one complained about going to school and Josh came back from work and took the boys. That sounds simple, but it makes a big difference in our morning. Providence went to school happy and then Eve and I went off to exercise at the YMCA. The fitness room ended up being closed, so we decided to go to this great new coffee shop in Norwood. It's called the Speckled Bird Cafe and it is 2 blocks from our house. It is great, Eve had a little decaf coffee and I had a carmel latte. They have a fish tank and a some speckled birds. Eve loved drinking her coffee like a big kid and watching the birds and fish. I love that it is right down the street from me and is just another reason why I love Norwood. The people who run it just want to make the neighborhood better and have created a great community vibe. After the coffee shop we went to church to play with our friends for a while.
The afternoon was amazing, the weather beautiful. Everyone played outside. The kids raced through the homework and cleaning rooms so they could play outside. We grilled out and one of Noah's friends from school came over and ate and our friends Sam and Lisa came over to eat too. Sam is an amazing Hairstylist, so he brought his "tools" and cut the girls hair. It is adorable, they are in love with sam because he is pretty cute so they really listened and just kept grinning the whole time he cut their hair.
After hair cuts and getting the kids off to bed Josh, Sam, Lisa and I went to the coffee shop again. My mom sat with the kids. It was really cool to just walk down the street and have a great cup of coffee and hang out with friends. It makes me really excited about living here and reminds me how much I love community and want our kids to experience it daily.
